Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to personal terms with Nigerian striker Gift Orban<\/a>, as the search for the successor to Harry Kane continues.<\/p>\n

GoalBall transfer expert Ekrem Konur<\/a> first reported this development regarding the highly-rated Super Eagles hopeful.<\/p>\n

The England captain completed a move to Bayern Munich last week, which has left a gaping hole in Spurs' attack heading into the new Premier League season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea's wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku had been the favourite to move to Ange Postecoglou's side, with the 21-year-old Gent forward regarded as the backup plan.<\/p>\n

There is a belief the Belgian international has his eyes set on remaining in Italy, resulting in Spurs progressing with their approach for Orban.<\/p>\n

After agreeing to terms with the Belgium-based striker, Spurs are confident a deal of around 30 million Euro can be struck for the highly-rated Super Eagles prospect.<\/p>\n

Gift Orban only moved to Gent in January after arriving from Norway First Division outfit Stab\u00e6k.<\/p>\n

He adapted immediately to his new surroundings and scored 20 goals in 22 appearances for his new team.<\/p>\n

The youngster opened his season's account when he struck a hat-trick<\/a> against Pogo\u0144 Szczecin in a Europa Conference League qualifier on August 9.<\/p>\n

Orban was born in Benue State, Nigeria, but is also eligible to play for the Togo national team through his mother's heritage.<\/p>\n
